Looking for a speaker

The Advisory Group of Librarians is looking for a speaker to be invited to one of NESA conferences next year (Training Institutes in Bahrain in October, New Delhi at the end of January, or the Spring Educator Conference in Bangkok in March next year).

Please help us organize sessions for librarians we all would be anxious to attend. Make your contribution:
1. Choose one of the conferences you can attend (we will invite the speaker for the conference where and when most of us can come)
2. Specify a topic(s)of your interest in the poll on the right menu of the blog.
3. Give us names of library media specialists who you think would be good speakers, if you have some one in mind.

We don't have much time. Do it now!

Let's make sure the venue in Bahrain can accommodate laptops in the meeting room. In Amman there wasn't enough outlets to plug into when computers needed recharging. If you need help with this, I can check it out when we get closer, as I am in Bahrain.

I would appreciate a workshop where we were actually doing some hands-on work, possibly with blogs or wikis, so that those of use still struggling along could get help from our fellow librarians that are good at these things.

We should try to meet as a group next year to get the AGL up and going, and then maybe every other year after that, so we could pool funds, both personal PD money and speaker money.

Let's see if AASL has someone to get us started on implementing The Standards for the Twenty First Century Learner.
